Practice Philosophy

I believe in conservative dentistry - doing everything possible to preserve the structure of my patient's teeth.  Sometimes this involves preemptive action, sometimes knowing when to do nothing and observe over time, sometimes behavior modification and encouragement.

This model requires patience and communication.  That is why I have based our office around individual attention and service.  I rarely schedule more than one person at a time.  Not only does this make for a generally peaceful environment, but also allows the flexibility to have a discussion when required.  Nearly every case has multiple possible solutions, each of which involves benefits and compromises.  When I sit down with patients we can hash out all these pros and cons and combine it with the patients desires to come up with the best solution.

I insist on using the best materials, technologies, and practices to make restorations beautiful and long lasting.  Although personally fascinated by emerging technology, I'm always cautious in adopting new options and techniques to bring into this office.  "Latest and greatest" isn't always really the greatest and I avoid options that are unproven or offer little additional value over existing methods.
